The stake arms feature a horseshoe shape on either end, which allows for simple, secure, snap-on placement. Attach the stake arms to any stake measuring 8mm wide in diameter and of any height. The stake arms can be placed wherever you want--low to the ground, up high, or in any configuration that best accommodates the growing plant. Placement of the arms can be fine tuned as the plant grows, as well. Add more over time or move a bottom arm further up as needed.
When used with Sturdy Stakes or the Ultomato tomato cage, stake arms effectively support tomato plants and encourage them to grow vertically, so the fruit and leaves don't weigh down the stems. This also helps promote air circulation through the plant and allows the foliage to naturally shade ripening fruit. The versatile stake arms hold the limbs of growing tomato plants, as well as other climbing fruits and vegetables like pole beans, cucumbers, grapes, and kiwi.
